On . The . Road

Tonight I am grateful.

• I am grateful for a comfortable place to sleep after seven hours of travelling.

• I am grateful for the blue sky and warmth after a wintry week.

• I am grateful for an early morning beach walk and swim.

• I am grateful for smooth waters during our ferry crossing.

• I am grateful for the glimpse of two dolphins riding the waves.

• I am grateful for the true hospitality we experienced when we stopped for dinner.

• I am grateful for an easy freeway drive.

• I am grateful to the kangaroo who decided to stop in the middle of the road (at night) and let us pass rather than hop into our path.

• I am grateful for laughter and fun and chatting on the way.

• I am grateful to all those drivers of semi-trailers and road trains who spend endless hours on the road delivering everything we need.
